• Community Group - Boys in Middle and High School

• Academic: Progress reports, report cards, assessments and standardize test scores.
• Behavior: Discipline Referrals.
• Parental Feedback: Increased level of respect and appreciation for authority.

• In-School Group - Twice per month at times designated by school administrators
• Community Group - Monthly on the 2 nd Saturday from 9:00am-1:30pm

• Polos will be sponsored by partners.
• Mentees are asked to wear their school color Men Act This Way polo shirt during in-school mentoring sessions.
• Mentees are asked to wear the royal blue Men Act This Way polo shirt for community based mentoring sessions, field trips, and all social outings.

In partnership with Misters Barbers, young men are allowed to get haircuts monthly.

Participants will be required to support their school in many capacities as school ambassadors and participate in opportunities to give back to the community by participating in community projects.

The program provides a minimum of three local field trips to educational facilities/ sites in the Muscogee County School District area and an annual field trip outside of the area for 5th grade students. Alpha Phi Sigma Chapter, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc and Greater Peace Baptist Church sponsor all field trips.

Students will receive certificates of participation during the school’s honors day program. Outstanding performing males in each of the grade levels will receive a 10-speed bicycle. Alpha Phi Sigma Chapter, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc and Greater Peace Baptist Church will sponsor all awards and certificates.

These sessions are designed to enhance participant’s understanding of basic business principles that reinforce the 12 core characteristics of manhood. The sessions are also designed to encourage the entrepreneur spirit and place a level of emphasis on being a producer of goods and not just a consumer and the importance of investing in themselves.

Our sports program uses competitive sports and chess to meet the desire for competing. The Men Act This Way, Inc. sports program will be used to reinforce the 12 key characteristics of manhood. Registration is required. These are free programs for Men Act This Way, Inc. mentees.
• Golf-Starting from September to March the golf program will be offered after school with indoor instruction. Starting from April to August sessions will be offered outdoors.
• Tennis-Starting from June to August the tennis program will be conducted outdoors.
• Chess-This program is a monthly program on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
In June, there will be special outings with the young men to discuss lessons learned and ways to continue apply what has been learned. In July, the young men will participate in a weekend retreat as a preparation for the new school year.

The reading program will target 2nd grade classes. Reading will take place bi-monthly based on the academic calendar. The purpose of the reading club is to keep 2nd grade students excited about reading while reinforcing reading recall and reading comprehension.

To assure program reliability and fidelity facilitators will request feedback from school administrators, teachers, parents, and students.
